It is important that my clients know that my philosophy is to care for the whole person, not just the physical self. I love what I do and strive to motivate clients of all ages and fitness levels to do their best, and be their best.
I believe you must work from the inside out - nourishing your body with high quality, nutritious foods, exercising at a level that is challenging to you, and getting plenty of sleep. When done consistently, your body will respond beautifully. I take pride in the positive physical, mental and emotional changes I see in my clients.
GASTRIC BYPASS
My experience as a nurse lends me the ability to understand the surgical and physiological changes that occur as a result of weight loss surgery. Clients have expressed feeling “safe” or “comfortable” working with me. I enjoy working with gastric bypass clients and seeing their progression as they learn to embrace a healthier lifestyle.
Gastric bypass surgery is a tool to initiate weight loss when other means have failed, but it doesn’t stop there. Nutrition and physical exercise must be incorporated into a healthy lifestyle. Surgery inhibits absorption of nutrients, particularly protein, causing muscles to waste and skin to sag. Weight training will build muscle, creating firm curves under the skin, as well as boost energy, improve bone density, increase metabolism and strengthen joints.
